MIRANGIZ HAMIDULLAH

Bachelor of Landscape Architecture (BLA), Junior Landscape Designer

Mirangiz Hamidullah

Mirangiz graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree. Her studies at the University provided Mirangiz a theoretical knowledge on the design of outdoor spaces. She has also gained a strong technical knowledge through her two years of co-op and internship experiences most recently with the City of Kitchener. Mirangiz moved a lot during her childhood which has helped her adapt to different environments, cultures and languages. She is well versed in 5 languages. Her multicultural background, work experiences and passion in what she does are great assets to Seferian Design Group. Mirangiz is currently studying to get her professional Landscape Architect designation with the Ontario Association of Landscape Architects (OALA).

Mirangiz grew up in Turkmenistan where she, as a child, spent most of her time outdoors in her family’s backyard. She loved climbing trees, reading books under the grape vines, chasing chickens, and harvesting vegetables. Influenced by her childhood experiences, Mirangiz believes that nature heals the soul and provides never ending benefits. She hopes to create similar experiences for people, especially children. Her goal is to create accessible urban natural spaces to provide opportunities for people to connect with nature. Additionally, Mirangiz aims to use her multicultural background to highlight the importance of culture and diversity in design.

When Mirangiz isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her family, going hiking, reading books and having picnics. During the summer, she loves visiting beaches and soaking her feet in the water. During the fall, she loves discovering new parks to collect leaves. Mirangiz is also highly interested in fashion because she loves using her creativity to play with different colours and styles.
