ALYSSA MCDONALD

Landscape Designer
BLA, OALA Associate, CSLA Associate

Alyssa graduated from the University of Guelph, obtaining a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, and a certificate in environmental citizenship. Through her educational and professional background, she has gained a broad knowledge of design and the environment. Prior work opportunities have given her valuable hands-on experience, and an appreciation for all types of design projects, big or small. Her passion for landscape architecture grew substantially through her years in school, and she is excited to be working towards becoming a full member of the Ontario Association of Landscape Architects (OALA).

Alyssa is passionate about the environment and sustainability. She enjoys exploring rehabilitation and restoration through design and believes that landscape architecture should be done with both people and nature in mind. Her favorite part about landscape architecture is the ability to express herself creatively while still focusing on sustainability and the health and wellbeing of people. She also appreciates the variety of projects she comes across in landscape architecture. Each project is unique and supports a continuous cycle of growth in her design skills. Through her professional career, she hopes to provide people with more opportunities to explore and appreciate nature and the outdoors the way that she does.

In her free time, Alyssa enjoys painting and visual art. She also has a great appreciation for the outdoors and spends summer weekends enjoying the weather by hiking and camping.
