Condominiums + Commercial Plazas + Subdivisions + Rooftop Amenities + Green Roofs + Streetscape + School Playgrounds

While Mike’s work over the past few years has been primarily focussed on development work within the urban realm, his career started in residential landscape design. It is this experience working on projects of varying scales and complexities, and across a wide array of project sectors that allows him to bring design, technical knowledge, and contract administration skills to every project he works on. Mike has a strong interest in applying pragmatic approaches to site planning through creative design solutions that are unique, sustainable, and cost effective.

With experience in taking projects from conceptual design through to construction drawings and construction administration, he is highly organized and possesses excellent communication and management skills that ensure project issues and requirements are tracked and addressed throughout the process of project delivery.

Mike is a full member of the Ontario Association of Landscape Architects (OALA), Canadian Society of Landscape Architects (CSLA), the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), and is an active member of the profession. He enjoys staying connected to the academic community and regularly volunteers his time to provide design critiques, and discussions at his alma mater, the University of Guelph. Mike also volunteers his time with The Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Boards (CLARB), the governing body that prepares, administers, and scores the Landscape Architect Registration Examination (L.A.R.E.) for the various licensure boards across Canada and the United States.

Outside of the office, Mike keeps himself busy appreciating the great outdoors through such activities as hiking, golf, and canoeing, is a member of a photography club, and enjoys cooking.
